Mrs. Yola Guz, an International Professional Floral Designer from the Dominican Republic initiated her floral career in her native country at age 19. Yola has a vast experience in many areas of the the floral industry including: owning retail flower shops, as an educator in her floral design Institute in Miami , a commentator, a promoter of floral products and event planning.

Her initial studies in Floral Design took place in Santo Domingo at the Learning Institute for Youth and continued in the Vocational Training School, Trinidad Sanchez in 1989. Two years later she studied at the University for Arts, Enrique Urena where she took advanced courses in Ikebana, Garden Landscaping and Event Planning.

In 2002, Yola immigrated to the USA looking for bigger opportunities and new professional challenges.

In July 2010, Yola Guz was inducted to active membership of the prestigious American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD).

Also in 2010, Yola together with her husband, founded the Yola Guz School of Floral of Floral Design in Miami. The School provides students with strong fundamentals necessary in floral design. Students come from all over Miami and South Florida, but the school has seen many out of state and international students as well. Many students that have graduated the program have moved on to be successful with their own businesses in the floral industry.

In 2010 Yola began her journey that inspired her to help women in her home country of Dominican Republic and established her Foundation Yola Guz Si Se Puede. She realized that many Dominican women are trapped in the traditional roles of motherhood, wife, and home maker. She wanted to find a way to provide training and encourage women to create income for themselves and their families.

Another of Yola's special projects and her husband Ruben Consa AIFD is the foundation of the Doral Art and Flowers Festival, a combined art and floral art festival based in Doral, "The City of Flowers", Florida.

The Yola Guz Si Se Puede Foundation was created as a springboard platform to help all women, be they in the Dominican Republic or from any other part of the world - become independent and have a voice for themselves. The goal of Yola Guz Si Se Puede is to inspire women to believe in themselves and their potential. To achieve this, Yola gives motivational talks about her own path to success, and teaches the art of floral design seminars and hands-on workshops. Yola believes that through Floral Design women can become professionals and have a career that will achieve financial independence for themselves and their families.
